     Bulgaria , located in South-Eastern Europe, in the geographical center of the Balkan Peninsula, is one of the most diverse countries in Europe. Its total area of 111000 km2. The Danube River is the natural border with Romania to the north and borders with the countries of Greece and Turkey to the south, Macedonia and Serbia to the west and the Black Sea to the east.

     Environment in Bulgaria varied and picturesque, and consists of large plains, hills, sea and high mountains, which are dominated by the Stara Planina (Balkan), the Rila, Pirin and Rhodopes.

    In Bulgaria climate is temperate continental, mild in the south of the country as a result of the impact of the Mediterranean Sea. Black Sea has its influence on the eastern Bulgaria, where summer and winter climate is mild when compared with the rest of Bulgaria.

    Capital of Bulgaria is Sofia . Other big cities Plovdiv (second largest city in Bulgaria), Varna and Burgas on the Black Sea, Rousse and Vidin on the Danube, and Blagoevgrad in the south-western region of the country. The old town of Veliko Tarnovo - is the ancient capital of Bulgaria.
